Flyin’ Miata has long been known as one of the best parts developers and sellers in the market. In addition to doing all the fun stuff with brake kits and suspension, they have created a reputation for the LS-swap kits for Miatas of all generations, and now, they have completed their kit for the fourth generation “ND” Miata.Details: you want them, we have them. This particular ND uses a GM Performance LS3/376c.i. engine, rated at 525 horsepower and 489 lb-ft of torque, mated to a Tremec T56 Magnum 6-speed manual transmission, using an LS7 OEM clutch and flywheel setup. Power is routed to a limited slip differential sourced from a sixth gen Camaro SS, using a custom driveshaft and halfshafts to fit the small Miata chassis. The motor is pretty much 100% original, designed to be reliable, easily serviced and understressed.The chassis benefits from a rollbar; upgraded springs and shocks; larger brakes front and rear with a a 6-piston front caliper and a 4-piston rear; larger sway bars; and this particular car is sitting on wider 6UL wheels wrapped in BFG Rival rubber. Interestingly, since the LS motors are designed with hydraulic steering in mind, this conversion also replaces the ND’s maligned electric power steering with a pump and hydraulic setup.That’s just the big stuff, a lot of additional tweaks are done to complete this turn key package to make it completely suitable for daily driving, or track work. Starting price: $50,000 + the cost of a donor car. Sounds steep, let’s see if it pays off:
