Back in the early 1970s, American automotive dealership showrooms were packed full of muscle cars and while the Camaro is the only one that made it to the modern day, the Chevrolet Chevelle is still one of the most well respected muscle cars in the history of the industry. The Chevelle was a bit bigger than the popular Camaro and in 1971, General Motors made no bones about the fact that this was the heavy Chevy. However, the company spun the "heavy" slight into a positive, talking about how the Chevelle is heavy on looks with a variety of new styling cues for 1971. More importantly, the commercial mentions that while the 1971 Chevelle is heavy on looks, features and engine options, it was light on price. This is really a great classic Chevy ad so crank up your speakers and enjoy!
