Lotus loves a special edition, and here is its latest, the Evora 400 Hethel Edition. As its name suggests, it celebrates a special anniversary of Lotus"s Hethel factory in Norfolk. Namely, its 50th anniversary.Essentially, it"s a paint job special, with your choice of three historic Lotus colours Motorsport Black, Racing Green and Essex Blue (pictured) matched to new silver forged alloys and body graphics.Otherwise, it"s as you were, which is no bad thing. The Lotus Evora 400 comes with a 400 horsepower (a less sexy conversion of 394bhp) supercharged V6 engine, hits 60mph in 4.1 seconds and boasts a 186mph top speed. The price? 75,500, so a 3,500 hike over standard. Worth it if you like the colour scheme and you"re a Lotus die-hard swept up with romanticism.Lotus says this Evora isn"t its only celebration, either: it"s promising more special products and events to mark the half-century since company founder Colin Chapman moved production to Hethel. What would you like to see next?
