Late to the party is this Mercury Cougar race car look alike from the Steve Tandy collection . Powered by a 289 Cube V8 engine, that runs with good oil pressure and equipped with a rare three speed manual gear box.
The floors all seem to of been replaced recently, apart from the boot floor that does have corrosion in some places around its edges. Otherwise the body looks very solid, with bright paintwork and nice graphics, if you like your car looking this way.
Interior is original and does need a retrim, covers being easily available, the dash is good. There are no carpets as these were removed for the new floors to be welded in, at least this way you can see them not covered up with carpets. The centre console is in good shape with the console mounted rev counter working.
We have moved the car about but only at slow speed. The brakes work as does the clutch, there is a judder to the transmission but only as you pull away in first, not if you use second or reverse?
Ripe for restoration and with values massively up, this rare 60s muscle car deserves to be saved. Now should I keep the graphics or respray back to white, hmm??
