New Years Day

Not sure what we are doing.
There is a Corvette meet, but it's in Kent! 2 1/2 hours away and given how cliquey I find the Corvette owners club I'm not sure I can be bothered.
On the other hand, I've got differential and gearbox oils to change and have de-ionised water in stock for a coolant flush too.
Plus I need to pull the Fiero steering rack to swap a bushing too, so perhaps we should hope for a sunny dry day?

What's everyone else up to?

We are going to a friend house new year ever for a few drinks, so I don't think driving is on the cars for us new years day. We will walk there and back, with all the drink in a backpack, I will look like a hiker, but with bottles clinking, lol.

There are a few members going to Classics On The Quay, Southampton, and isn't there something on a Brooklands too?

Dan, Sarah, you two going?
Also concerned about the Vette. I don't want to drive all the way down and get shoved into a public car park. Thoughts?

think most of us will be in the public car pk lol most of us have newer motors lol it will probably be the place to be from the chatter on facebook and other sites lol

its all in a car park no grass at all got people coming up from bay 2 bay cruisers club plus have sean some from the wheelers are going also most of them have newer motors and vans starting to look like it could be a cool new years day meet rubbing shoulders with the hobnobs lol

Dan and me won't be going, with the Camaro still with a hole , the Transam with a chewed up diff and only the Fiesta to drive we didn't fancy it really. That and we'll both be drinking alot the night before so don't think it'll be wise to drive lol.

work on the corvette out in the freezeing cold you know you want to, i wired up some lights on a truck last weekend it was bl##dy freezeing

My garage is luvly and warm if put a heater on for an hour before I go out!!! All that carpet and insulation makes it a really nice place to be!!!
But.... draining fluids means jacking up and that means having the door open - too sodding cold for that!

Yep cold out there. Went outside in shorts and t-shirt, glad no ice on the car as de-icing the car in shorts looks a tad odd.

That's a great idea Alec, Will look forward to them.

well you piss heads can drink tonight and as i dont its only logical i take some pics while i am there :p

Me and Sarah usually take pics to show people what they are missing. Now it's your turn. :p have a good time. Catch up soon.
