This Chevy-powered burnout video comes to us from the Boost Wars YouTube channel and it features a Nissan Silvia S15 putting together a terrific smoke show. As you might expect, this Nissan is turbocharged, but making this unique from the average four-cylinder-powered Silvia, this car is powered by an LS1 making it an amazing burnout machine.Turbo LS1 S15The car in the video above is a Nissan Silvia from the S15 generation. This car was never sold in the United States, but its predecessors the S13 and S14 were sold in the U.S. as the 240SX. Sound familiar, now?In the U.S., our 240SX came with a 2.4-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine, the KA24(D)E. The S15 sold in various markets around the world outside of North America was powered by a turbocharged SR20DET engine that delivered 250 horsepower. That made the Silvia a solid performance machine, but to get real power out of the S15, the owner of the car in the video has opted for GM power.To be exact, this Silvia is powered by a Chevrolet LS1 V8 with some sort of turbocharging system. In stock form, the LS1 made somewhere in the area of 350 horsepower, but we can guess that with the added boost, this engine is likely making at least double the stock output of the Nissan engine. At the same time, while the blow-off valve is very loud, the engine is oddly quiet.Putting on a ShowIn the video above, the LS1-powered Nissan Silvia starts smoking the tires off in the distance, inching forward until the driver brings it to a stop for a few seconds. Once the smoke has surrounded the car, the driver lets it blast forward, whipping the rear end around and beginning a long series of donuts.For the better part of 40 seconds, this turbocharged, LS1-powered Nissan spins around and around with smoke pouring from the rear tires.
