This is a 1999 Chevrolet Camaro, which goes by the name the NJ Devil. This Camaro is powered by a 408 cubic inch LS1 stroker with custom heads, a new camshaft, a FAST intake manifold, long tube headers, an upgraded fuel system and a high performance engine tune. That is paired with a 4000RPM stall torque convertor, 3.91 rear gears, weight reduction and a set of sticky Hoosier tires. This Camaro, without nitrous, is able to blast down the quarter mile well into the 10-second range. The NJ Devil Camaro also has a nitrous setup which hasn"t been used at the track just yet, but today, quarter mile times don"t matter. What matters is how well this 4th gen Chevy muscle car can roast the rear tires. As we can see prior to the burnout beginning, this Camaro does not have the big Hoosier slicks used for track time, instead opting for a set of road tires which are easily to spin and likely less expensive. With one camera shooting from the side of the road and another mounted on a selfie stick behind held by the driver, we get two very different angles of this Camaro doing a burnout. In both clips, we get to hear the stroked LS1 roar, but the side-view gives us a traditional look at the burnout while the selfie stick camera provides a rare look inside of the smoke. The coolest aspect of this 4th gen Camaro tire slaying video comes at the end, as we watch the red Chevy blast away from the initial burnout spot with a long smoke trail all shot form the unusual perspective of the selfie stick.Crank up your speakers and enjoy!Tags: 4th gen Camaro, Burnout Fridays, camaro, ls1, NJ Devil
