No Expense spared, Corvette C5 built from carbon fiber

The level of intricacy and attention to detail is quite stringent and exacting here. First off, it?s worth noting that the shop responsible for the creation, Carbon Fiber Customs, was able to shave off a good amount of weight from the car with this conversion.
Starting at around 3,250 pounds, the stock C5?s fiberglass body is already lightweight enough. With carbon fiber, however, that total drops to 2,940 pounds, making this Corvette that much more quick and agile.
Secondly, all of the panels are made using a vacuum infusion technique, which ensures high strength and zero defects like bubbles or pinholes. There?s even a ?V? pattern in the appearance of the carbon fiber, arranged in accordance with the middle of the car across all of the handmade panels that reflect perfect fit and finish from every angle.

If so inclined, you too can turn your C5 into an aftermarket wonder like this, thanks to CFC?s full catalogue of parts available on their website. The pieces come in either the less expensive plain weave, or high-end V pattern with gold accenting on certain units. Prices range from $204 for a license plate frame, to $2038 for a hood.

Nice idea, making it light and faster.....I just don't like the carbon fibre look.
