We"re not usually massive fans of the ber-modification of some of the more outrageous German tuning houses, but there"s something about this Novitec version of Tesla"s Model X that isn"t actually outright offensive. In fact, it looks pretty darn good.Probably because the more-is-better ethos has been put on the back burner for this one; the Novitec Model X gets some tasteful exposed carbon bits (whose weight saving potential is presumably of the chocolate teapot variety), comprising of a chin-spoiler, skirts, rear bumper diffuser-thing and two flavours of rear spoiler that apparently actually manage positive-result aerodynamicky numbers. Good.Wheels are forged 22-inch Vossens - long the darling of the US custom scene - and also manage airflow to keep the new, lighter, carbon-ceramic big-brake package cool (380mm six-pots on the front and 360/four-pots on the back). Interestingly, the Vossen wheels are individually made for each side of the X to keep the rotation of the spokes in the right direction, making them effective fans for the brakes. Clever. And although the drivetrain remains standard, not many would complain about the Model X"s performance anywayAs ever though, Novitec also offers pretty much anything you want in terms of interior changes, so there"s plenty of room for people to ruin the full seven-seats if they really want to.Share this page: FacebookTwitterGoogle+WhatsAppMailtoCopy link
