If you"ve been anywhere near the internet recently, you might have seen pictures of mid-engined Corvettes. Renders, spy shots, official (but disguised) shots the next-generation Vette is going to have to look pretty special to have any chance of actually surprising us when it arrives on July 18. And yes, here"s another bloody picture of a disguised Corvette that oh, my god has its V8 behind the occupants as opposed to in front of them. But this picture has some good news attached to it, namely that a whole 400 extra jobs have been created by the addition of a second shift at the Vette"s Bowling Green factory in Kentucky. Looks like big things are expected of this newly laid out sports car. "The Corvette"s iconic status owes so much to the men and women of Bowling Green, where it has been built exclusively for almost 40 years," General Motors boss Mary Barra says.
