Over one million Chryslers, Dodges and Jeeps are being recalled, after fears they may roll away after being parked.Fiat Chrysler - the group that owns all those companies - has put out a 1.1million car recall, which covers recent versions of the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Jeep Grand Cherokee. Over 850,000 cars in North America are affected, with 250,000 needing the fix elsewhere. The problem revolves around the cars" automatic transmissions not being in Park when the owner leaves them. A new gearbox design is being implemented in the new model year versions of those cars, with a fix applied to existing models that will stop the car from rolling away, even if it isn"t left in Park. It"s believed 41 injuries have resulted from the problem, following 314 complaints. Some of the cars hit buildings or other vehicles after the driver left them.
