Whether you"ve attended the Goodwood Festival of Speed or not, you"re likely aware of its annual centrepiece: a large, ornate sculpture dedicated to one particular carmaker. This year it"s BMW, a company celebrating its 100th birthday in 2016. It"s already marked it with these utterly bonkers concept cars. But that"s not enough. It"s also taking over Goodwood, putting a number of its legendary models up the hill, while also blocking the view out of Lord March"s bedroom window with what you see above. We"re sure he won"t mind, though, when his vista is filled with these three cars. At the exposed end of three steel prongs are the BMW 328 Mille Miglia Roadster, the Le Mans-winning BMW V12 LMR and the Brabham-BMW BT52 F1 car. The latter is Gordon Murray designed, no less. There"s much more than BMW"s birthday party taking place at Goodwood, of course. There"s the mighty McLaren P1 LM, some very odd Renault Land Speed Record cars and even the Bugatti Chiron. See TG"s full Goodwood preview here.Share this page: FacebookTwitterGoogle+WhatsAppMailtoCopy link
