Michael Bay, purveyor of the Transformers series of movies, has announced his intention to feature the brand new Mercedes-AMG GT R in the next Transformers film. For fans of the Mercedes-AMG GT R then, this doesn"t bode well. Because Michael Bay has a penchant for blowing things up in extravagant fashion. The samurai returns thanks to @MercedesAMG GT R. Looking good, Drift. #transformers @MercedesBenz pic.twitter.com/V3Gon9F6t2 Michael Bay (@michaelbay) July 1, 2016 Let"s hope for a better fate for the Merc, then. It"s apparently going to be the Autobot" Transformer named Drift", and never has a more appropriate car been found. The AMG GT R, with its 577 horses and many torques and oversteer potential, will definitely drift. AMG boss Tobias Moers did as much at Goodwood a few weeks ago, when TopGear.com was granted a world exclusive passenger ride. You can read all about that - and full details on the MegaMerc - here. For now, just take in the wing and the wheels and the vents and the green (because N rburgring, obvs).Share this page: FacebookTwitterGoogle+WhatsAppMailtoCopy link
