PONTIAC FIREBIRD, 400CI (6.6 Litre) V8 ENGINE, HARDTOP COUPE, 1967 (not "68+) - RARE MODEL - BLACK

3 SPEED AUTO WITH SHIFT KIT AND MANUAL VALVE BODY

Below I"ve listed the good and bad points. I"ve tried to cover the majority of it all and have loads of receipts to back up parts and when they were bought. I have alot of photos of what I have to date mostly, showing before and after the work I have done with the engine and some odd bits here and there pus I have videos for sound too.

I will take any other specific photos that are requested.

I really am struggling to let go but I have had this project for the last two years and still not finished and need to buy a house really instead of having a car sit on the drive un-used. I m not a pro builder so you may not agree with some of the things I ve done but at least the photos show you were you may want to re-visit although I doubt there is anything major.

The car needs some work to finish it off if wanting a concours model that could be worth over double what I"m selling for but unfortunately I have run out of time to continue. You could pick up where I left off or pretty much just run the car as is.
Some small holes in passenger footwell
Plastic grill in between chrome bumper bars has cracked.
Suspension could do with painting again
Heater is disconnected from water system (spout broke off of fire from heater matrix, but have brand new hosing for it)
Heater box onto firewall needs sealing better if heater is to be used
Electric fan is not coming on when it should. Have been using a switch to turn on/off.
Rear bushes could do with replacing, maybe shocks too. Currently working fine but would be nice to replace as they are old and tough.
Battery cable to starter needs fixing properly (cable ties currently)
Hasn t been run on the road since rebuild yet, only on drive under no load
I think the previous owner fitted a Camaro rear wing because you can see the outline of the louvres on one side and not the other
The car needs a paint job for show condition, weather is getting to some areas. I don t think the last paint job by the previous owner was a good one
Tracking may be out slightly as I have no laser alignment at my house.
Exhaust has some holes
Power steering pump may need re-visiting with a new gasket.

The car is currently SORN and will need to be collected by truck. I can arrange for a service to post the vehicle if required (UK ONLY).

I sent the V5 off to change the address but the DVLA lost it so I currently have just the new keeper slip (with my details on from when i bought it). However when the car is bought, a new V5 can be issued online instantly for a new keeper so don"t worry. This way we don"t have to wait for a V5 to come back in my name and then send again to change to the new keeper"s details.

Should you wish to talk or arrange a viewing prior to bidding then feel free to get in touch. If there is no answer then leave a message and I will call you back. If you wish to mail/text through any questions then that is fine too.

All the best,

Kieran.
