Yes indeed, but I think the Corvette was a an aftermarket conversion?
The T/A was a concept with only two made. Both 1978 models, retrofitted with 79 front and back end. One was silver, the other was gold. One was destroyed, one still exists in a Pontiac museum to my knowledge.
But your example just shows it could be done. Such a shame Pontiac never made it.
There was also a 3rd gen version, and I recall seeing an SLP version on a 4th generation too.

Those Trans Am wagons are great. I've seen the 2nd gen concept before but not the later conversions.
