That front end is standard for a 91.

5.2l in the add, I beleive that is inforrect. Pontiac or Chevy didn't make a 5.2l.

should it be sold as a firehawk?
engine?
should it be carb or injection for that age or has it been mobified replaced ?

HEI and injection are two different things. Your 79 has HEI.

red firehawk picture is a generic picture i pulled from google to show front bumber, surely the white car wheels are not standard??????

yes you are right my 79 dose have HEI

That does look nice.

Just had a look and Firehawks are not identified on the VIN. It would likely be identified as a TransAm and serialised somewhere to identify its Firehawk credentials. They were the Product of SLP IIRC.

so it could just be a standard trans am with a firehawk nose cone ? and why stephan mentioned about the body panel fittment, so as you say further investagtion required

It could be but those Ronal wheels have good value alone.
And the nosecone is nothing to do with Firehawk. It’s standard on 91/92 models.

So do I, but it's £14k more expensive! Even for a better colour car that's a lot!

3rd gems are not immune to the tin worm and along with the panel alignment I might suspect either it’s been in an accident or a bitsa.
As always, caveat emptor. Get the vin, get the RPO codes, and inspect the car thoroughly.
I’m always far more afraid of rust and bodywork than I am mechanical or electrical, but you might be a rust repairing and painting guru!!
