We are advertising this fantastic 1981 Pontiac Trans Am Daytona 500 Pace car for one of our clients. The Trans Am is one of just over 2000 Pace Cars built. The car is in excellent condition and has been maintained regardless of cost. The engine ( 4.9 Turbo ) has recently been rebuilt using custom pistons designed by Knight Racing Services. The engine has also been fully balanced and benefits from the removal of all the computer controlled emmissions garbadge and has had a new carburetor and distributor. The turbo is currently set at 9 psi but has an adjustable controller.<br />
The car still retains its original factory Recaro interior and has had LED bulbs fitted to the interior lights. All the boost lights on the bonnet bulge are in full working order which is a rarity on these Turbo Trans Am"s.<br />
The car still retains all its Pace car decals and still has the NASCAR safety roof light bar which still functions.<br />

The car is in excellent condition and comes with a big history file.<br />

Trans Am"s in this condition are few and far between these days, let alone very, very original Pace Cars, and trust me this one is very CLEAN.<br />

Car will be sold with a full 12 months MOT.<br />
