Nice example of a fully loaded Firebird Trans Am GTA with top spec 5.7L V8 with analogue gauges that was imported new by the first owner. Very rare car as has the optional dealer installed ASC (American Sunroof Corporation) electric sunroof tilt and slide as a T- Roof was not available on the optional 5.7L for 1988 due to government mandated weight limits. Low mileage & low number of owners on this GTA. Interior is excellent, only issue is typical sagging roof liner. I tracked down this car 5 years ago as a long term investment. Unfortunately I lost access to a workshop and storage unit so I"m having to sell a few cars and this is the last one to go. Currently SORN as no MOT. Needs full new exhaust system from headers back as currently part stainless steel and mild steel sections which never weld long term to SS. Also leak from water pump so that will need replacing. Couple of minor rust blemishes on one headlight cover and rear arch but otherwise rust free. Paint fade on ground effect skirting. Has a good selection of performance parts including Koni adjustable shocks. Rear spoiler needs attention due to cracking but can provide details of a better fibreglass option that I was going to upgrade too. Has 1 brand new tire and will probably require 3 more. Engine & Auto gearbox in excellent working order as car was always well maintained. Rear window demister still works!<br />
No engine check light, no oil or transmission leaks. The petrol has fuel preserver added and the battery is maintained on a trickle charger so starts without issue. The spark plugs were changed 500 miles ago. The car has been correctly maintained whilst on a SORN. 2 sets of keys, partly functioning remote and big history file including recall on new ignition keys due to original chips being faulty, GTA history book and owners manual. Car will need to be collected on a trailer/transporter by 15 June. 6.5k or Best offer & CASH ON COLLECTION. It is advertised elsewhere. Wooden blocks will be required due to low stance for driving on & off. Located 12 minutes off junction 25 of M1. Recommend viewing prior to bidding. Can be seen 8am -9pm daily until auction ends.
