This cool red automatic example came from warm, dry Houston, Texas with its owner who moved back to Herefordshire and loved the car so much, he brought it with him in early 1990.

The car has one old MOT on file issued in 1992 yet has covered little mileage since this time having spent years in storage. The car fires and runs well with minor tinkering required - headlights etc work but she will need a new hand brake rear cable for the MOT and she has a slight coolant leak which appears to be from a pipe junction at the radiator. The interior appears to be original and in good order and it rides on its original wheels. Ideal for a bit of winter tinkering!

Billed as the sensible choice for the economy minded commuter who valued sports car styling and handling combined with frugal consumption.

Powered by GM"s "Iron Duke" 2.5 litre 4 cylinder motor the SE model was part of the model"s launch range and reputedly returned an impressive 37mpg. The styling was unusual for GM, featuring a mid-engined 2 seater body and useful boot behind the engine.

The history file comes with an old style V5, 1 old MOT from 1992 and its US export docs.New V5 has been requested and will be here within 5 days
