With just a couple of weeks to go until the start of the Le Mans 24 Hours, Porsche has revealed that two of the four factory 911 RSRs it"s entering in this year"s race will wear liveries that hark back to the Seventies and Eighties. Car #91, which will be driven by Gianmaria Bruni, Richard Lietz and Fr d ric Makowiecki, will sport a Rothmans-type livery as seen on the 959 that won the Paris-Dakar in 1986, as well as the many-time Le Mans-winning 956 and 962. The #92 car, meanwhile, has been designed to look like the Pink Pig" 917 that raced at Le Mans in 1971. It will be driven by K vin Estre, Michael Christensen and Laurens Vanthoor. The other two cars will wear Porsche"s usual black, white and red livery.
