where can you here clicking as it could be the relay you hear clicking . hand book should tell you where relays are fuse box might hold the relays as well . bit of googling might help . some main dealer are not to bad but as you say can be very expensive my Merc van was 115 plus vat per hour and that was about 7 years ago

Disc's and pads cheap enough go on euro car parts website 35% of marked prices when you use code at top of sceen in checkout or use it to take to local motor factors and they might beat it,
relays if you got two the same swop them around see if fault moves ? have you cleaned all rails runners rose joints and so on?

ok so last week removed spare wheel and all packing and trim from inside the boot area , removed the plastic cover from inside the boot lid checked all wires , switches etc . unplugged the power source to the roof mechanism re connected . cleaned everything too. the result ?? roof working a treat 10 to 15 operations one after the other and still going strong. it appears problem solved ! now im going to get it traded in
