Here for sale is my 1962 Rambler"American Custom" station wagon,with clam shell tailgate, 47K miles from new.Engine is the original six cylinder flathead 3.2 litre with 3 speed automatic gearbox and is really quite good on fuel mileage.The car is also road tax exempt.<br />

The bodywork is excellent, undersealed from new as an optional extra, no rot anywhere, interior is also good for a vehicle over fifty years old.I have fitted electric wipers in place of the useless vacuum ones, and also fitted is a manual choke conversion and American "Rocket Racing" wheels.<br />
The car would also come with the standard steel wheels and two different sets of wheel trims.The chrome work is good and the car has all the original badges,and trim, including the original dealer badge.<br />

I have owned the car for over two years and have driven it to many shows up and down the country and it has never let me down. It is a pleasure to drive and i would go anywhere in it.I have lots of history including the original bill for the extras and loads of pictures, and also an original workshop manual, and advertising posters.<br />

The "genuine" reason for sale is that i have an other project and cannot afford to keep them both.If it wasn"t for the new car i would not be letting this one go.<br />

All in all a new driving usable little surf wagon.<br />
