Pontiac only built 17 red, 6-speed Firebird Firehawk examples in 2002. And this one only has 29k miles! We’re at the point where low-mile WS6 Firebirds and Camaro SS examples are beginning to command collector status on the market. Thus, prices have risen steadily. Strangely enough, however, this rare Firebird Firehawk recently passed through eBay without selling for mega bucks. Well, in all fairness, $27.5k ain’t exactly cheap. But we’ve seen clean WS6s go for more, and this one’s much, much rarer. How rare, you ask? Well, Pontiac built just 1,500 Firebird Firehawk examples in total for the 2002 model year. Only 17 of those were red with a 6-speed manual transmission. And we’re guessing few of them have only 29,000 miles on the odometer. All of which makes this ultra clean survivor seemingly the collector’s 4th gen of choice. There are certainly plenty of things to like about this particular Firebird Firehawk aside from its rarity, of course. It has all the goodies you could opt for during the era, including a full SLP package. It sports that super cool twin nostril hood and a full array of luxury options, including power everything. And it’s 100% original, save for a Hotchkiss strut brace and Flowmaster exhaust.Certainly, there are plenty of things about this Firebird Firehawk that make it attractive to collectors. It represents the final year of production for the Firebird, and comes with all the documentation you’d want decades from now. That includes the window sticker, RPO build sheet, and other assorted paperwork. Thus, paying slightly less than $30k for this beauty seems, well, kinda cheap. Because if ever there was a surefire investment in the automotive world, we’re hedging our bets on this one. But it’s probably good this Firebird Firehawk didn’t wind up in our possession, because we’d have a hard time not driving/modding it! #gallery-2 { margin: auto; } #gallery-2 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-2 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-2 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
