Our extremely rare Airstream Bambi has been completely renovated to a high standard with every effort made to keep her as original as possible. She has been sympathetically modernised to bring her into the 21st century. <br />

She was built in Jackson, Ohio USA in 1963 and imported to the UK around 3 years ago. <br />
<br />
The interior was completely stripped out, including the floor which was replaced with marine plywood and the chassis was given an overhaul, strengthened and rustproofed. <br />
<br />
The bulk of the interior woodwork is original and was rubbed down, oiled and painstakingly replaced. We only replaced what was unsalvageable. The seating has been reupholstered by a professional company who usually fit the interiors of private aircraft. She was also given a professional polish. We have the kit to maintain her shine, which will be included in the sale. <br />
<br />
There is a wardrobe, numerous cupboard and drawer space and a table which is removable. One sofa pulls out to 4" 6inches and sleeps 2 comfortably, the other sofa can sleep a child or small adult.<br />
<br />
There is a new combi boiler (gas or electric), providing hot water to the kitchen and shower, an electric fridge with a small freezer compartment and 2 ring gas hob. <br />
She has been re-plumbed throughout including new water tank and plastic piping throughout. <br />
A demand water pump has been fitted that provides near mains pressure to the kitchen sink and shower. <br />
The original flush toilet was replaced with a flushable Thetford cassette toilet and the brown water tank has been removed. There is now an external grey portable water tank, servicing the sink and shower. <br />
The existing hot water tank was replaced with a gas/electric combi boiler. <br />
The bathroom houses the cassette toilet and shower with original shower tray (re-gelled and nonslip finish). <br />
<br />
She was also totally rewired (certified to UK standard) which includes plugs with USB points and a 240v hookup and 12v leisure battery. There is also a small electric fan heater. <br />
<br />
The windows have all been reglazed and renovated with the original insect mesh replaced and a new skylight fitted. <br />
<br />
The exterior running lights have been replaced with original new old stock and all exterior lights are 12v LED, controlled by an interior switch. <br />
<br />
The tow hitch is the original US 1 inch, however we have a bespoke convertor which allows it to be towed by a European 50mm tow hitch, which will be included in the sale.<br />
