Most of the forum is back together not after the data loss. The only thing really outstanding is the Front page info, there wasn't a huge amount there, but it would be nice to get it back.
Well thanks to Darren, we may be in for a chance. Darren mentioned that the SQL file is a readable text file that you can cut blocks out of it, its basically instructions of creating tables and inserting data. I thought I needed special software to open an SQL file. I've tracked down the data in the 60Mb file. Tried parts out on a spare database, all works rather well.
So now I have the front end data (CMS) I have reinserted the missing data in the tables but it hasn't patched in too well.
I'll work on this for a bit, the rest of the forum will carry on working. :boxing:
