Rinspeed will once again exhibit at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, which is held every January. At this year"s show it brought with it a bright-yellow, autonomous sports car based on the BMW i8, but next year"s exhibit is set to be a little morebespoke. It"s called the Oasis yes, like the drink and it"s an autonomous, fully-electric car for the "urban sphere". The work of one of our all-time favourite madmen, Rinspeed"s founder Frank M. Rinderknecht ("I like to be crazy. There are plenty of normal people"), the Oasis is effectively a two-seat urban runabout. More details are bound to be released closer to its January debut, but for now we know it has an interior with the "ambience of a modern-day family room", and that the exterior looks like "a trendy buddy of Star Wars icon R2D2".
