Interestingly the ad states tax and mot. However the dvla shows it currently sorn with no MOT.

I found it too.....a 1987 replica!! And yep, it's SORN! Cheeky......well they are based in Portsmouth!

The 1987 is the date it was brought over, if you look at mine - it says first registration is 1990. That was the time it was imported ;)

Mine was imported in September 2002 by myself. Yet on my paper work I got them to put it down as a 2000 as i could prove from the label in the door it was that age. good job i did too as my road tax would be higher as after March 2001 it went on emissions and not engine size.

So with the Buick being shown as 1939 it should be tax exempt, and on the 12 month road tax fee from DVLA(in the screeny above) it does show ?0.00. so i guess it was a typo on the sales information for the car, which isn't a good start, what else are they telling fibs about.

It should be tax exempt as the DVLA have declared it manufactured in 1939. First registration will be in the UK. It should state on the front of the log book that it was declared manufactured in 1939 and should state historic tax inside it. If it has the first and not the latter, the DVLA should be able to amend that for free historic road tax :)

My car comes up with

Date of First Registration 06 11 1979
Year of Manufacture 1972

Why would it be RHD through? Surely it it would have been LHD if it did come over from the states???

P'raps it was converted ;)
