Seat has announced that it will sell six different plug-in hybrid or fully electric models before the beginning of 2021 a hefty statement from a company without a single one on its books three months into 2019. There are big plans afoot in Spain though. First up will be an all-electric version of the Mii, and then the introduction of the el-Born EV that was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month. Alongside these there"ll be plug-in hybrid versions of the next-generation Leon and Tarraco SUV, as well as similar (if slightly hotter) drivetrains for the Cupra Leon and upcoming Dementor sorry, Formentor. Seat has announced that 300 of its own engineers will develop a brand-new, smaller version of the Modular Electric Drive (MEB) platform that will be shared with the entire Volkswagen group.
