Be still our beating hearts, we have just met YouTube personality Emelia Hartford, the LS1-swapped 240sx-driving bad ass.Hartford is more than a pretty face, she’s an enthusiast through and through. In this introductory video, she explains how she got to the point of wanting and then owning an LS-swapped Nissan 240sx. From there, she lists a couple of issues with the car and the swap, that she intends on cleaning up so that she can enjoy the car to it’s fullest. The female-driven 240 is quite an oddball of a build. It has a Japanese-spec “Silvia” appearance conversion (lights, bumpers, etc.), with some drift-spec war wounds, repaired with the requisite zip ties. It is also fitted with a questionable body kit, with even more questionable fitment. The emerald green paint job is not original from what I can tell, though I personally think it fits the car well. For a drifter, it’s par for the course, however, the car needs some serious body work to be truly presentable. From there, it looks to be an LS1 swap with a T56 transmission. The only other manual transmission that works in an LS1/240 combo is a late model 350Z 6-speed manual with an adapter plate and some fabrication work. The car is on air ride, as evidenced by the slammed ride height and air tanks in the trunk. Hartford mentions having issues with a damaged strut causing issues with the system building sufficient pressure when started up.We are very curious as to the direction that this build goes. Female-driven builds tend to always get a good amount of attention, and it seems like Hartford has the know-how to sort the 240 out. Hartford mentions that she bought the car pretty much as-is, and is working from this point towards her goals. An LS-powered 240 can be an absolute hoot to drive, so hopefully she puts it to good use.
