Slick 50

There are many oil additives around, and I've heard of Slick 50 in the past, to protect surfaces on cold start, and reduce engine noise.
However is it something you stick in a car before you sell it to hide a few things? or is it something you would put in your personal car to improve things?

What your thoughts?

I used slick 50 some years ago can't remember if it was for a Manuel gear box or for an engine but it certainly made a big difference in how it ran and worked .

I've used it in engines before, both 2 stroke motorcycle and 4 stroke car engines.
My belief is snake oil like most such things.

Used it year's ago in my capri's and other ford's that i have . not so sure about today modern engine's and modern oil and it is still expensive stuff other makes have now come out along side slick 50 so there is a choice . personnelly would we see any differance in engine running permance we don't have the tools test equipment to see differance .

Well I was wondering if it is wise to pop some in the TransAm.
Will be changing the pump out in a couple of weeks. Then maybe put in Slick50 to make the top end a little quieter. I think I have a lazy lifter, but I don't really want to go in there again just yet.

Ahh, now for lazy lifters check out the forte products.
Usually only available to the trade but can be found on eBay.

Perhaps add some forte engine flush to your oil to clean out the gunk. Change the oil pump and oil and add the top end treatment to the fresh oil for maximum effectiveness.
