Just because Independence Day is over doesn’t mean you can’t go on living each and every day expressing to the world that you love your country. What better way to do that than an American muscle car that was made for possibly the most American sport and has a giant bird spreading its wings tatted across the hood? This 1981 Pontiac Trans Am Daytona Pace Car is waiting for you.This Trans Am is reportedly one of only 2,000 Daytona pace cars with the Y85 package. Before you start complaining, we’ll get it out of the way: We realize it’s not the best engine. Because of CAFE regulations, these Trans Ams were fitted with the 301-cubic-inch, 4.9-liter turbocharged V8s that didn’t have the best reputation (200 horsepower, 340 lb-ft of torque, no intercooler), and it has an automatic transmission.
