Starlings in the garden.

We get quite a few birds in the garden. Many starlings, and when they have gone the smaller birds like house sparrows come in in simular quantities. We have seen many times both starlings and sparrows on the same feeds, so I think they get on well. we have 6 feeders in the garden, these usually only last 1 day.

Love listening to them :) The most I counted in one time was 68!!! And most of those were juveniles.

I've read in a lot of places that Starlings don't get on with House Sparrows, I think our garden must be the execption. They share feeders and never fight, and there are normally around 20-20 House Sparrows at a time in the garden feeding :D

I love it!

And have a water pistol for the cats lol.......

Talking about birds - I just saw a seagull physically attack a young girl at Bristol station whilst she was eating a pastie!

Shocked the hell outta her but he didn't get it!

I wouldn't give up my pastie either. Darn seagull, deserves some baking powder in some bread. only kidding, my mean streak coming out.
There is a lot of seagulls up portsdown hill, they like the chips, don't ever eat chips outside up there. Also remember to put your roof on the car when the cars near you have food, birds keep leaving deposits everywhere.
