Starter American Muscle

Hey guys, so I'm looking at buying my first car soon and I would like it to be an American muscle car. My price range is 2 to 3 grand and I know that some cars are more expensive than others to fix up as a project car. I'm looking for an overall affordable project muscle car. I'm not going to be drag racing it or doing anything like that; I just love American muscle cars and I would love to be able to restore my own. Whatever info would be valuable. Thanks guys!

Welcome,
what have you seen so far and what type of car truck day van are you thinking of ??

Well im looking into cars and like the 1977 Pontiac trans am looks nice so something like that. Not any big and bulky like the 69 chevelle, although I am a fan of the chevelle I am just looking for something a little low key if that makes any sense at all. I'm not the best with words lol thanks!

If the link work's ??? did a rough 2k search there is a bit of choice but nothing along the of 70-80 muscle ie Trans am or mustang as for that sort of money you would be looking work to be done as the old metal worm would have taken hold, depends on how much of a project and fund's you have ???

There is this

Sure other's will be along to help

The most important thing is that it can drive right off and is at least some what reliable because this will be my main car to get places. I know it could be an extreme project car and that's fine. I have no budget set in mine for after the car. It's more of what I can afford and when over the course of years lol

You will be spoilt for choice of a good american car for a couple of grand in the USA. Good luck in your search. At least you can get parts without having to pay import duty.

oh, and Welcome to the forum, always great to see new members.

I used to regularly vist LS1Tech.com - GM LS Performance Forum for info on my 4th Gen TransAm, but you do get many people on there with classic muscle cars with an LS engine swap, it could be of interest for you.
