We were at the AGM for our development last week, and all these people were whining about speed and getting more crossings. I was beginning to boil. Teach the fucking kids the green cross code and don’t make your children the responsibility of the driver. Bloody parents should take some ownership.

Absolutely!! I'm beginning to think the world is filling up with short sighted, small minded, careless idiots. And it's always somebody else's fault.
Another thing I see far to often is parents walking along the pavement by a busy road with their toddler about 50 feet ahead of them! What's wrong with people!?

I agree completely, this was a joke. It even says the woman crossing the road "panicked", obviously because she realised she was in the middle of the road! The judge should be sacked and the case re tried.

I know cyclists are sometimes criticized but most ride as they would drive cars. Some people also forget its not as easy to stop a bike and try too hard you are off! So where does the judge get off penalizing him when the pedestrian was clearly in the wrong. Seriously corrupt judge imho

All too true. I cycle myself a fair bit and as you say, apart from a few, most are respectful of pedestrians and other road users. I can't believe nothing can be done to overturn this case.
