We are looking at as a great match up between a turbocharged Chevrolet Silverado and a built Ford SVT Lightning F150. The details are unfortunately short on both trucks, but we know that the Silverado has a turbo setup of some sort with an LS1. The Lightning has an aftermarket supercharger, drag radials and other modifications supposedly making 700 horsepower. The video starts off with the F150 Lightning being prepared for the race, giving us a look at the truck from a few different angles, including under the hood and in the bed. For the Silverado, we only see the truck from the rear, with rough stock wheels, stone chips and some random paint issues leading to the video description calling the Chevy ugly for a reason. However, there is nothing ugly about how this Silverado runs. After the Lightning does a huge burnout, the four wheel drive Silverado pulls up alongside and the flagman gets ready to start the race. When he drops his arms, both trucks quickly leave the line, but the Silverado immediately begins to pull away from the bright, shiny Ford F150 and it turns into a real beating. The video shows the run first from the starting line and while we can see that the Silverado has the advantage, we can"t see how badly it beats the Lightning. In the second clip, we watch the race from the perspective of the Chevy, at which point we can see just how quickly the Silverado pulls away and how badly the turbocharged pickup beats the Ford as the two head down track.Although the Silverado looks ugly, it sounds as great as it runs, so make sure to watch this street race with your volume turned up.Tags: Chevrolet, drag race monday, Silverado, street race
