Studebaker 1964 GT Hawk

This is an older restoration of a Californian car.

For a video of this particular car and another I owned recently go to :-

youtube.com and search for Greg Diffen - This is a 10 minute documentary on me and my Studebaker obsession, where the white Hawk is one of the feature cars.

Sold new in Los Angeles and purchased by myself from a long term Studebaker owner in San Francisco who was reducing his collection of 18 Studebaker"s as he was getting to old to drive them.
The previous owner has a well known bar in Fishermans Wharf and drove his cars regularly. His parking spot was just outside his bar and his Studebaker"s would probably be the most photographed on the planet.

The 1964 GT Hawk is the last GT Hawk related vehicle Studebaker produced and is considered to be the most desirable due to it"s unique refinements. Approximately 1700 units were assembled, so it is quite a rare car with great "chrome bumper" presence.

This particular car is unusual as it has all the really nice driving options most Studebaker"s don"t have. The previous owners cars all had Power Steering and Automatic Transmissions as he was in his mid 70"s and had mobility issues.
These include :-

289 cubic inch V8 Motor
Power Steering
Factory Disc Brakes
Automatic Transmission
Air Conditioning
Radio
Clock
Layback Bucket seats
Seat Belts - Front and Rear
American Racing Mag Wheels with new tyres.
Painted in the original Studebaker colour of Astra White with matching maroon interior.
The paint is still in excellent condition, but does have some chips from age. The interior has been retrimmed in the original pattern and the headlining is excellent. Carpets have been replaced.
Most of the mechanical work done State side on this car was by Carl and Herman Thoms of Studebaker"s West in their Studebaker only workshop. The car has a fully reconditioned automatic transmission, excellent brakes, and a new exhaust system.

All round this is a nicely presented car and is ready to give you many years of trouble free motoring.

I purchased this car in 2014 directly from the US owner and am the first registered UK owner of this vehicle. All EU duties and sales taxes have been paid and the car has full UK registration.
We can help with shipping the car within the UK or abroad.

We own 12 Studebakers from 1933 to 1988 and two pre war Packard senior cars. Having lived in Australia, Canada and now the UK I have a wealth of knowledge on this brand of automobile.

Currently I am the editor of the UK Studebaker Owners Club magazine, so if you need any more information, would like to join the club and help with Studebaker"s and parts.
