Relive your glory days on the cheap with this beautifully preserved and interestingly optioned Trans Am WS6.Now that F-Body Camaros and Firebirds are approaching adult age, we’re starting to see prices shoot up considerably. Those of us that grew up in the ’80s and ’90s are getting to the point in life where we have the means, and the desire, to relive our glory days, too. Thus, low-mile, well-preserved F-Bodies are popping up like pimples on your face before prom. The latest? This incredible 21K-mile 1985 Trans Am WS6, which surprisingly hasn’t sold (as of this writing) despite a seemingly excellent $9,500 Buy it Now price on eBay.In all fairness, a later-model Trans Am WS6 in this kind of condition is obviously much more desirable. And for good reason. While the later WS6 came with snarling nostrils and a 325 hp/350 lb-ft 5.7-liter LS1 V8, this older model made due with the much-berated tuned-port injected 305. Back in the performance-hating ’80s, the WS6 was more of a suspension upgrade that also included a posi-traction rear end. No more one wheel peel for you!So it might not be anywhere close to the most desirable Trans Am ever made, but this ’85 is a gorgeous specimen nonetheless. That deep red paint and gold trim/wheels look simply fantastic, especially with the rear window louvers. The weirdest thing about this incredibly well-preserved Trans Am WS6, however, is the interior. This is probably the first time we’ve ever seen a tan/gray two-tone combo, and hopefully it’s the last. #gallery-2 { margin: auto; } #gallery-2 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-2 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-2 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */ <br style="clear: both" />
