Hi and thanks for looking at my beautiful Corvette C1 from 1959. I purchased it last spring in the USA from a highly respected dealer who was selling it on behalf of his good friend who is in fact an airline pilot. He referred to it as his "baby" that he sadly had not got the spare time to enjoy amidst his busy life.The car was subject to a ground up restoration some 20 years ago where the odometer was set back to zero and it has only covered some 1500 miles since. During the following years it won a total of 7 trophies in the USA which came over with the car and obviously will remain with it. It remains in truly lovely condition with only a few age related marks,the chrome is sharp and has just a few imperfections on some pieces of trim around the windscreen etc. The interior of the car is of equal quality presenting beautifully with no deterioration to the seats what so ever.The under bonnet detailing is again very nice. Underneath the frame is rock solid although the black paint has faded and is dull in places.It is sitting on cross ply tyres which i have left on for the sake of originality but i am prepared to change them for brand new radials in the price should the purchaser wish. I have owned these cars before and this drives as it should pulling strong and smooth through the gears and with no nasty noises coming from the drive train anywhere.Since buying it i have obviously paid all the duties etc and it is now registered here in the uk on an age related number. Anyone looking for a rock solid investment that can be enjoyed along the way should give this car careful consideration as i believe it offers someone a great opportunity for just that. I believe it is fairly priced in the current market and the best value for money example available currently in Europe. With the car being a 1959 example it is pre the era when Chevrolet started stamping the VIN number of the car into the engine block so it only has an engine number which is age and model correct but whether it is the original i cannot verify and frankly if i could i would be asking considerably more for it. I am prepared to deliver the car to the purchaser in a covered trailer anywhere in mainland uk included in the price,subject to cleared funds in my bank beforehand.
