Summers 21st birthday

I'm looking at getting summer her first American vehicle , this needs to be a v6 , she really wants a mustang ( oh dear ) but camaro / firebird / mustang would be a good first car , looking for something that needs a little work , no silly prices or basket cases ...but must be V6 .....

Of the GM v6's, the 3.8L is the one to have. The earliers models were a bit anaemic, but these go well, have good fuel economy and were quite well optioned. The Firebird is with a dealer and overpriced, but if they have had it for a while a deal could be done.
