Which means it"ll be fast. Because the Model S in question is the all-singing, all-conquering P100D. Electric GT Holdings Inc the series organisers said that just last week, the race-prepped Model S passed its official FIA crash test. There"s a three-heat" qualifying format, followed by a 60km (37 mile) day race and a 60km dusk race. 20 drivers will line up to race the cars, which run on bespoke Pirellis and feature Alcon brakes, R53 suspension, composite bodywork and a chunk of power. 778bhp to be precise, or 585kW.
