Electric beats petrol. A bold statement on the front of the freshly-redesigned Top Gear magazine, but one that proved true this month. You see, back in 2018, Elon Musk tweeted that the Tesla Model 3 Performance would beat anything in its class on a track. He even namechecked the mighty BMW M3 a bold move. Naturally then, we tried to call Elon"s bluff. That meant grabbing both cars and heading to Thunderhill Raceway in northern California.
