Last September Aston Martin announced it would release something called the DBZ Centenary Collection" - two cars you can only buy as a pair, a DB4 GT Zagato Continuation, and a rebodied DBS Superleggera called the DBS GT Zagato. The cost? 6million, plus tax. The DB4 is something of a known quantity - it"ll be a faithful recreation of perhaps Aston"s prettiest and most sought-after model, with thin-gauge aluminium panels and a straight-six engine sending 380bhp to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual gearbox. Set to be built at the same Newport Pagnell plant that produced the originals, it will not be road legal. Presumably because of new-fangled safety regulations. Boo.
