The Infotainment category covers a very wide range of criteria, including audio quality, smartphone connectivity, sat-nav, heating and air-conditioning, the user-friendliness of the controls, and touchscreen sensitivity and visibility.

The category-winning Karoq did well in all of these sub-categories, but its biggest successes were for its heating and air-conditioning system, its user-friendliness, plus how easy its screen is to see.

The second-placed Kia Sportage also did well, especially when it comes to the user-friendliness of its controls and the sensitivity of its touchscreens. Another Kia – the current-generation Ceed – earned a podium place in the Infotainment category. This car gained good marks in the sat-nav sub-category and was rated especially highly for its smartphone connectivity. Your favourite sat-nav was the one found in the Volvo XC40, though, while the Hyundai Ioniq was the car that you found it easiest to achieve a stable smartphone connection with.

“The Bolero audio system in the Karoq uses an eight-speaker set-up and offers superb sound quality. Apple CarPlay works seamlessly with it, allowing me to easily connect my iPhone.”
