If you have ever dreamed of owning a very large classic American car with some of the biggest known fins on cars of that era then look no more.
I know all you know all"s will send messages to say a 1959 Cadillac had bigger fins. Yes I know it has as I own one of those as well.
This Chrysler is very clean except for a small amount of flaking to the back panel which is being attended to as we speak.
The boot lid was incorrectly fitted and was vibrating causing metal to rub metal.
It has now been re-aligned and is having a new boot seal fitted.
The bodywork other than that has had a repaint and is not the best in the world, but I am having it professionally polished to get rid of some of the orange peel.
The pictures included are before the polishing and at 10ft (3 metres) look good.
Please bear in mind this car is 55 years old.
The brightwork in general is excellent.
The engine purrs better than any other V8 (413ci)I have ever driven and I have personally owned over 60 American classic cars and at present own 8.
The transmission is the famous "Push button system" which give what is know as the "Juke Box dash"
The original radio (push button) is in working order as is the heater (push button).
The only thing I can fault it on is the sender unit for the water temp is not working, but I will supply and fit one before the car leaves.
The steel wheels are the original ones as are the hub caps complete with a dummy spare wheel well in the boot / trunk lid.
The recorded mileage is 66,500---- and by the way it drives I have no reason to think different.
The car is registered in the UK and has a current MOT until Feb 2017.
The interior is tan coloured and in good condition with small faults given the age.
The windows are all power and fully working.
This car was recently driven from Bicester to the Classic Car museum near Southampton and also to my home in south Wales.
There is no sign of any water loss, nor smoke even if the car is left for several days.
The price is negotiable but no silly offers will be answered and only American cars will be considered.
I will part exchange Fifties, Sixties or possibly even Seventies cars in a deal either up or down.
I am asking 15,950 ONO
If you need to ask the MPG then please go and buy a Trabant or why!!.
