Remember the Fisker Karma? We do just. Designed by company founder Henrik Fisker, whose former credits include the BMW Z8 and Aston Martin DB9, the Karma was a svelte plug-in hybrid with a pair of 120kW electric motors and a GM-sourced 2.0-litre turbo for when the batteries were running low. Production began in 2011, but only lasted until late 2012, Fisker was forced to declare bankruptcy not long after. In that time the Karma was plagued by reliability issues, and blamed for a few high-profile fires. The remnants of the company were sold to Wanxiang, which soon announced plans to revive the Karma. And it has. Now built in California (the Karma was built in Finland), the newly christened Karma Revero is basically indistinguishable from the old car, but we"re promised the quality issues that once plagued it have been fixed. There"s a new electrical system, upgraded infotainment and new materials inside, plus minor exterior revisions front and rear. It"s all subtle stuff, which is fine in the looks department, but hybrid tech hasn"t half moved on in the last few yearsThoughts, internet?
