The Jaguar I-Pace is now a Munich minicab

Iconic taxis of the world: the London black cab, the New York yellow taxi and the Munich cream E-Class. Seriously: try flying into Munich and not getting into a medium-sized Merc saloon painted in the city"s signature off-white hue. Clearly it"s something that"s riled Jaguar, and it"s just sent ten I-Paces to be beiged-up and put into Munich minicab service. Will the plug-in SUV takeover completely? Probably not. It costs twice as much as an E-Class and, when it comes to those airport runs, will prove a little more limited in the distances it can travel. A full day"s work might be just out of reach of the car"s real-world 200-mile range, especially with people, bags and some cranked-up air con. Unless its driver can find a fast charger on their lunch break.
