Jozef Kaban was, until now, Skoda"s head of design, responsible for such things as the new Kodiaq SUV. Before that, he worked at Audi, and before that? Well, he only went and designed the Bugatti Veyron. Which of course, spawned the Chiron. Now, BMW has confirmed that Kaban will head up design for the brand"s core" models (think stuff like 3, 5, and 7 Series), replacing the outgoing Karim Habib. Habib, of course, certainly made his mark at BMW and will forever hold a place dear to TG"s hearts thanks to his efforts building the 2002 Hommage concept and the CSL Hommage concept. He also did some regular stuff, naturally.Kaban then, leaves Skoda in a healthy place, you"ll agree. BMW also confirmed that Domagoj Dukec will be the design chief for the i" and M" cars. Dukec has been with BMW since 2010."I am looking forward to this strengthening of the BMW Group design team," said BMW"s chief, chief designer Adrian van Hooydonk. "Both Jozef Kaba and Domagoj Dukec bring the experience, talent and vision we need for the future direction of our design."So, with a glittering CV and an award-winning background, what would you like to see Kaban do to BMW"s future core model design?Have your say belowShare this page: FacebookTwitterGoogle+WhatsAppMailtoCopy link
