From the YouTube account of Afghan Performance comes a burnout that is beyond mere stupidity. It features the kind of tire spinning action that we would always recommend against. Yes, we don’t always condone burnouts. The owner of this fifth-gen Camaro is doing what he calls a burnout in the ocean.Literally, in the ocean. The details are short, but we can tell from the license plate this is somewhere in the Middle East. The car looks stock, but it’s still an LS3-powered muscle car which will perform big, smoky burnouts on any paved surface. However, the owner has decided to show off the tire spinning capabilities of his American muscle car in the ocean. The video begins with a close-up view of the front end of this bright red Camaro SS seemingly sitting on a beach. However, as the car backs away from the camera, we can see that it is actually in the water. The driver sports a blurred face, which leads us to believe that he might not own this car, or be ashamed of this chicanery. He backs out into the deeper water and begins spinning the tires like crazy. With water and sand spraying high into the air, this Camaro goes around and around in the ocean water, making its way into water that is up to the doors all the while spinning the tires. All in all, this is just about the stupidest way to do a "burnout" with any car let alone a newer Camaro SS. Some people might insist that doing burnouts on dry pavement is hard on a vehicle. Spinning your tires in ocean water crams salt into all sorts of places, is much worse. We expect vastly accelerated corrosion throughout the undercarriage of the vehicle. Plus, a burnout isn"t a burnout without some tire smoke. For shame.Tags: 5th Gen Camaro, Burnout Fridays, camaro, Camaro SS, Chevrolet, Chevrolet Camaro SS, LS3
