The 12th-generation Corolla has had a great first outing on its Driver Power debut. Its victory in the ride and handling category is well earned, with an excellent set of scores across the board.
You were especially taken with the smoothness of the Corolla’s ride – showing buyers may prefer a more relaxed car to a sportier, firmer one. Its overall handling was also well rated, and you say it’s a pleasurable car to drive as a result.
In second place, the Lexus UX impressed owners most with the responsiveness of its brakes, and you also found it generally enjoyable to drive. It was beaten to the mark on road handling by the Subaru XV, though, while the Volvo XC40 scored big points in the driving pleasure sub-category. Impressively, in a category that is dominated by much larger machines, the Kia Picanto city car managed to finish in fourth, with drivers raving about its steering and road handling. The all-electric Renault Zoe in seventh place also did well for driving pleasure.
