The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles has announced a new exhibition of things. Which is fitting, considering it is a museum that exhibits things. Now it"s the turn of Hollywood, and the machines that have graced some of the most popular films of all time.Welcome then, to a preview of the upcoming Hollywood Dream Machines: Vehicles of Science Fiction and Fantasy" exhibition. Catchy title, you"ll agree.Contained within the walls of the museum will be a plethora of movie and video game motors so ingrained into your spirit it"ll practically feel like your own car. After all, the Back to the Future DeLorean has breached clich . Ditto 1989"s Batmobile from Batman. And of course, Knight Rider. After all, who could forget that immortal cabin (above) filled with screens and buttons and William Daniels" dulcet, measured tones?"Hollywood Dream Machines will be the biggest exhibit of our 25th anniversary," explains Petersen"s exec director Terry L Karges.
